Garda Canada Security Corporation – Regional General Manager, South Eastern Ontario

  • Negotiated six collective agreements without incident as well as handled all arbitrations and Human Resources activities.

Rogers Communications – Vice President, General Manager GTA

  • Negotiated an unprecedented six-year Collective Agreement with the local union resulting in labour stability through 2010
  • Reported directly to John Tory, President

Rogers Cable – Vice President, Human Resources

  • Responsible for all HR activities including organizational design, compensation, performance management, health and safety and employee relations
  • Negotiated numerous five-year duration collective agreements with unions across Canada without labour disruption enabling continued labour stability
  • Reported directly to Ted Rogers, Chairman and CEO

Domtar Packaging – Director Human Resources, Packaging Division

  • Negotiated all collective agreements, handled all arbitrations and developed all HR policies and procedures for the organization
  • Negotiated break-through, eight-year collective agreement with the IPU that represented four decertified plants that had broken away from the CPU
  • Negotiated the potential sale of the Red Rock Mill to the town and employees of Red Rock, Ontario over a six-month period
  • Developed and delivered “Mutual Gains” bargaining sessions for union and management teams, resulting in several five+ year collective agreements

Continental Can Co. USA & Canada – Director/Manager Human Resources

  • Developed and implemented the Justice and Dignity clause allowing employees to work until resolution of their grievance, resulting in improved labour relations and a no-liability grievance resolution
  • Decreased grievance and arbitration activity in Perry GA plant from 365 per year to seven in year one and zero in year two as a result of the introduction of a half-step grievance process
